Job summary

KLA in Singapore is seeking a proactive Materials Planner to support GOPS by purchasing direct materials, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely production. You will review planning reports, negotiate pricing and lead times, and drive inventory turns while minimizing costs through MRB/RTV actions.

A Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 2–5 years in semiconductor environments are typical; strong ERP/MRP skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, logistics or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of related semiconductor/high-tech manufacturing experience.
• Strong proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and analytical inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Purchase direct materials, components and equipment as driven by MRP or Re-order Point systems.
• Review planning reports to ensure timely materials availability for production.
• Drive Gross Margin improvements through supplier negotiations on pricing and costs.
• Reduce supplier lead times by negotiating cycle times and VMI programs.
• Ensure timely PO execution and address supplier quality or capacity issues.
• Communicate with suppliers for on-time or adjusted deliveries.
• Participate in business reviews with suppliers and provide feedback to improve scores.
• Review and execute ECN/ECO changes to prevent production impact.
• Develop actions to minimize excess inventory and improve inventory turns.
