Job summary

The Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) invites interns to join our research and policy teams. You will apply data analytics and research skills to real-world IP policy questions, using administrative and survey datasets.

Depending on priorities, you may contribute to the Singapore IP Survey and related analyses. You will gain exposure to event organisation, stakeholder engagements, and communicating insights through charts and reports, while developing your data science and policy

Qualifications

• Students from Economics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Public Policy, or related disciplines.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Comfortable working with large datasets and conducting quantitative analysis.
• Proficiency in data analysis or statistical software/tools such as Excel, Stata, Python, R, Power BI, or AWS QuickSight.
• Good written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Interest in research, public policy, intellectual property, innovation, or related areas would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Extract, clean, validate, and analyse datasets from administrative or survey sources.
• Integrate data from multiple sources and surface insights.
• Create charts, dashboards, infographics to communicate findings.
• Support design, implementation, and administration of the Singapore IP Survey.
• Engage with stakeholders and assist event planning related to IP policy research.
