Job summary

MINISTRY OF HOUSING PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Financial Controller to lead the finance function for a group across Singapore and Malaysia. The role combines strong financial control with strategic business partnering to support senior management and the Board while ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will drive end-to-end finance operations, oversee audits and tax filings, provide strategic analysis, and strengthen internal controls and governance across the group.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CA/CPA/ACCA or equivalent.
• 8–12 years’ experience in finance with senior leadership exposure in asset management/real estate management/investment-related businesses.
• Hands-on experience with local and Malaysian audits, and regulatory filings.
• Strong commercial mindset with board-level communication skills.
• High integrity, sound judgement, and ability to operate in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end finance operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Review and advise statutory and management accounts in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
• Manage audits, tax filings, and liaison with regulators, auditors, and external advisors.
• Provide strategic financial analysis, modelling, and insights to support business growth, and investment decisions.
• Oversee financial aspects of group portfolio, includes managing valuations and advise on structuring.
• Strengthen internal controls, governance, and risk management frameworks.
• Lead and develop the finance team, drive process and system improvements.
