Job summary

Unison Consulting Pte. Ltd. seeks a data scientist to translate business use cases into analytical problems and drive data-driven solutions. You will clean, transform, and model data, and present insights with clear visuals to support decision making.

You’ll work closely with stakeholders to prioritise refinements, manage timelines, and occasionally design dashboards for data exploration, while leveraging agile project management practices.

Qualifications

• Capable of translating business use cases into analytical problems and identifying data sources.
• Proficient in writing scripts for data preparation and analysis using modern tools and methodologies.
• Proficient at cleaning, imputing, and correcting anomalies in data to ensure high quality for analysis.
• Proficient at exploring datasets using statistical methods to discover insights.
• Proficient at building machine learning models to identify patterns and make predictions.
• Capable of developing data visualisations and dashboards for real time exploration.
• Able to translate results into actionable recommendations for stakeholders and communicate a data story.
• Experience in stakeholder management and agile project management.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into data science projects.
• Perform data cleaning, pre-processing, feature engineering, and build models to address use cases.
• Present findings, solicit feedback and prioritise refinements while managing project timelines.
• Communicate insights clearly with visuals to influence key decision makers.
• Design dashboards and interactive visualisations as tools for data exploration when required.
