Job summary

Unison Group in Singapore is seeking a Data Engineer to analyse data needs, design data pipelines, and build reporting solutions. The role involves migrating data collection, developing tests, and delivering dashboards using tools like Tableau and SAP BO.

You will work with Cloudera CDP, Hive/Impala, PySpark, Python, and automation to ensure high availability and performance across on-site data platforms. Strong SQL, data modelling, and analytics skills are essential, with hands-on experience in

Qualifications

Hands-on experience in big data engineering with Python/PySpark.
Strong SQL, data modelling and data analysis skills.
Experience with BI tools like Tableau/SAP BO.

Responsibilities

Analyse the Authority’s data needs and document the requirements.
Refine data collection/consumption by migrating to efficient channels.
Plan, design and implement data engineering jobs and reporting solutions.
Develop test plans and scripts for system testing and UAT.
Build reports and dashboards according to user requirements.
Collaborate with technical teams for deployment and adoption.
Ensure smooth operations and SLAs of IT solutions.
Support production issues and automate deployment.
Apply AI coding tools to support development, testing, and reviews.
Utilise automation to improve development efficiency (build/test/deploy).
Leverage AI to improve code quality (refactor, fix defects, document).
Demonstrate willingness to adopt new AI/automation tools.
Work with waterfall/Agile methodologies.
Experience with Cloudera AI, Plotly and data engineering AI stack.
Experience with Hive, Impala and CDP; analytics and data warehouse implementations.
