Job summary

Amazon AWS Infrastructure Services seeks a Procurement Category Manager for Controls to own and shape the sourcing strategy across the APJC region, covering CAPEX and OPEX procurement, supplier selection, and performance reviews.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, strategically minded, and able to influence stakeholders at all levels. You’ll drive cost savings, manage supplier risk, and work with internal partners to ensure supply continuity, with occasional travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of procurement, supply chain, contract management or operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field
• Experience with vendor negotiations, global contract management, and process improvement
• Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end procurement for the Controls category across the APJC region, including tender management, supplier selection, and ongoing performance.
• Develop and execute category strategies informed by market intelligence and supply chain analysis.
• Provide in-depth knowledge of supply market dynamics to support informed decision-making with data-driven insights.
• Build and maintain supplier performance frameworks (scorecards, KPIs, business reviews) to drive continuous improvement.
• Achieve cost savings and favorable terms through competitive bidding, negotiations, and long-term partnerships.
• Identify and manage supply risks, including single-source dependencies and lead time constraints.
• Drive innovation across the procurement lifecycle, including automation of RFQ processes.
• Support contracting processes end-to-end, including negotiation and post-award management.
• Travel up to 25% may be required
