Qualifications

• Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures.

• Working knowledge of MS Office and Access.
• Electrical engineering background advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintains regional/global responsibility for a commodity group for price/value, sourcing, negotiations and supplier relationships.
• Quotes and negotiates all products and services quarterly.
• Develops cost of customer bids within response time objectives.
• Supports bid activities with site teams to compile and deliver material commitments.
• Participates in Corporate negotiation team and provides material pricing and data analysis.
• Conducts Quarterly Business Reviews with top suppliers and reviews customer BOMs for quarterly commits.
• Coordinates supplier communications and resolves performance issues.
• Supports SCM teams in shortages or supplier performance issues including escalation and alternative sourcing.
• Assists customers to resolve quality and performance related issues for products or bids.
• Consolidates, tabulates, analyzes and reports on commitment and performance metrics.
• Provides product cost support for products in assigned geographies.
• Prepares bids including BOM, cost analysis, and management presentations.
• Updates material prices database and analyzes BOMs for competitiveness.
