Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in supply chain, engineering, chemistry, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in commodity management, strategic sourcing, procurement, or related role.
• Experience in the hard disk drive, semiconductor, electronics, or chemical industries preferred.
• Technical experience in manufacturing, engineering, chemicals, or wafer fabrication desirable.
• Demonstrated experience in supplier negotiations, cost analysis, contracts, and continuity planning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global commodity strategies for Production chemicals and gases to achieve objectives.
• Lead supplier selection, sourcing events, cost analysis, negotiations, and contracting for lowest total cost.
• Own strategic supplier relationships, set performance expectations, and drive corrective actions.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, EHS, finance, legal, and site teams to translate requirements into sourcing plans.
• Support new product introductions, qualifications, spec changes, capacity planning, and material readiness.
• Monitor commodity markets, pricing, capacity, geopolitics, regulations, and supplier conditions to identify risks.
• Lead supply risk mitigation, business continuity, alternate-source development, and inventory strategies.
• Review supplier segmentation and lead end-to-end risk assessments for critical materials.
• Coordinate cross-functional response during disruptions and provide options to leadership.
• Drive cost-reduction and productivity via negotiation, demand aggregation, value analysis, and supplier innovation.
• Ensure sourcing activities comply with policies, standards, contracts, and regulatory obligations.
• Benchmark and report green chemistry opportunities that meet tech and business needs.
• Provide clear updates to senior management on commodity strategy, supplier performance, cost savings, risk exposure, and supply chain effectiveness.
