Job summary

Skills and Workforce Development Agency invites a Manager/Senior Manager to join the Planning Group, focusing on strategic budget planning, policy formulation, and governance across programmes.

The role reports to the Team Leader and partners with divisions and senior management to ensure robust budget requests, sound analysis, and fiscal discipline supporting SkillsFuture initiatives and SWDA objectives; 2-year contract with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Up to 6 years of relevant work experience in managing or reviewing funding policies.
• Those with no relevant experience but have been involved in relevant projects can apply.
• Knowledge of funding and resource planning policies relevant to public sector initiatives is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint with numerical and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate budget requests for funding of programme partners submitted by divisions.
• Manage end-to-end processing of new budget requests and variations.
• Make recommendations for approval with documentation for governance platforms.
• Serve as secretariat for BRAC and Finance Committee meetings; ensure documentation and follow-up.
• Develop and review policies and guidelines related to budget evaluation and management.
• Handle enquiries from internal/external stakeholders and maintain relationships.
