Job summary

SFI ENERGY PTE. LTD. is seeking a diligent Store / Inventory Clerk to manage stock movement, including receiving, storing, issuing, picking, packing and labeling.

You will accompany drivers for deliveries and maintain updated inventory records using Excel and other systems. Ideal candidates have at least two years in store management, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication. The role requires physical fitness and a teamwork mindset to support purchasing, technical, and workshop

Responsibilities

• Manage stock movement including receiving, storing, issuing, picking, packing and labeling.
• Assist delivery drivers and ensure timely dispatch of goods.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using Excel and other systems.
• Report discrepancies between received items and orders.
• Keep store area clean, organized and safe.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Technical and Workshop teams to fulfill needs.
• Load and unload equipment onto delivery vehicles.
• Conduct monthly stock takes and share findings with stakeholders.

Job description

Essential Functions

1. Responsible for the stock movement, receiving, storing, issuing, picking, packing, labelling, documenting and delivering.


2. Will also accompany transport drivers to various locations when required to assist with the delivery and movement of goods including hand carry.


3. Always maintain accurate and updated inventory records using excel and any other available systems.


4. Report discrepancies (including shortage, damage, improper packing, etcetera) to purchasers on received items versus delivery orders and purchase orders.


5. Always maintain good housekeeping of the Company's goods storage area, including organizing and preparation of goods for efficient dispatch daily.


6. Work closely with the logistics executive to ensure required inventory to be dispatched within the requested time frame and minimize delay.


7. Communicate effectively with the Purchasing Team, Technical Team, Workshop Team and internal users to fulfill material and logistics needs.


8. Assist to load and unload equipment or other items onto the delivery vehicle.


9. Disseminate monthly master inventory list to stakeholders.


10. Perform periodic stock-takes and inventory checks and disseminate findings to stakeholders.


11. Always maintain store cleanliness and orderliness.


12. Ensure proper handling, stacking, and storage of goods to prevent damage and trip hazards.


13. Work closely with the purchasing department and stakeholders to ensure store resources are fully consumed before fresh requisition can be raised and/or add requisition when items fall below minimum stock quantity.


14. Ensure security of store and restrict unauthorized personnel from entering store without valid approval.


15. Contribute suggestions to improving store and logistics efficiency.


16. Ensure compliance with the Company's safety management procedures.

Required Education and Experience

• Minimum O level & minimum two years of experience in managing store.


• Marine industry experience and proven capability in managing the store will be an advantage.


• In-depth knowledge of store procedures and processes.


• Strong organization skills, organize storage layout for safe, accessible, and space-efficient stock placement.


• Responsible and committed to fulfilling the material needs of stakeholders.


• Physically and mentally strong, capable of managing the store alone.


• Good written and spoken communication skills.


• Fast learner.


• Honest, dependable, and ethical in handling company property and information.


• Ability to think out of box and reorganize store.


• Office IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.


• Good attention to details.


• Confident in coordinating multiple internal and external parties to achieve objectives.
