Job summary

Tyson Jay Management Pte Ltd is seeking an hands-on leader to take responsibility for a food retail outlet. You will manage store operations, people, and sales, with involvement in pre-opening and day-to-day commercial decisions.

You will recruit and train the team, handle scheduling and payroll inputs, ensure food safety/compliance, and drive customer service and stock management during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–6 years in F&B/food retail operations, with 1–2 years supervising a team.
• Valid Food Hygiene certification or willingness to obtain immediately; familiarity with SFA requirements.
• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets for sales and stock tracking.
• Willing to work retail shifts, weekends, public holidays and extended hours during peak periods.
• Experience supporting store openings or team build-outs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support pre-opening preparations and manage daily outlet operations, including opening/closing, cash handling, POS controls and sales reconciliation.
• Recruit, train, roster and supervise the store team; manage attendance and payroll inputs within budget.
• Plan baking and product finishing around demand; maintain quality and presentation; support counter duties when needed.
• Maintain food safety/hygiene standards, licensing docs and audit readiness; monitor expiry dates and reduce wastage.
• Lead customer service, resolve complaints, oversee refunds and pre-orders; coach staff on product knowledge.
• Forecast stock requirements; place replenishment orders; maintain inventories for normal/peak periods.
• Coordinate with venue management on reporting/promotions; deliver campaigns and seasonal launches.
• Track sales, stock and waste using spreadsheets; report performance and suggest pricing/promotions/product mix improvements.
