Binance is seeking a senior data engineer to build and maintain the core data foundation for stock and financial market data. You will handle data source discovery, ingestion, integration, and unified modeling to support trading products and AI applications.

You will design scalable data models, implement real-time and batch pipelines (Flink), and establish data quality and governance frameworks. Remote-first, global collaboration, with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data development, big data, or data platforms.
• Proficient in SQL and Flink; real-time data processing experience.
• Proficient in Java, Scala, or Python; familiar with distributed storage/analytics tech.
• Familiar with data modeling, metadata, data governance, and service levels.
• Strong business understanding and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Experience with data source selection or production ingestion; build vs buy trade-offs.

Responsabilités

• Conduct research, technical evaluation, ingestion, integration, cleansing, standardization, computation, storage, and servicing of financial market data across multiple data domains.
• Design scalable unified data models and integration frameworks for multi-market data onboarding.
• Build batch-stream unified data pipelines centered on Flink, optimizing latency and throughput.
• Establish data quality and service level frameworks; implement monitoring, anomaly detection, and fault recovery.
• Evaluate sources (vendors, exchanges, APIs, file feeds) for coverage and quality; collaborate with product, procurement, legal, and compliance.
• Define data semantics and service contracts with trading product, data platform, AI engineering, and algorithm teams.
• Drive data engineering efficiency, including metadata, data lineage, automated testing, CI/CD, and orchestration.
