Job summary

Swift Search Global Pte Ltd in Central Singapore is seeking a skilled cook to prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes, ensuring quality and presentation. You will interact with customers at live cooking stations and tailor orders to guest preferences, while maintaining a clean, safe kitchen.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, with rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of kitchen or cooking experience is preferred.
• Experience at live cooking stations or open kitchens is advantageous.
• Food safety training completed before handling food.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Interact with customers at live cooking stations and customise orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Monitor ingredients, stock levels and implement FIFO.
• Assist with daily kitchen setup, closing and general operations.
• Work with the team to ensure smooth service and minimise wastage.

Location: Central Singapore (VivoCity / Suntec / Orchard)

Working Hours: 5 days per week, 44 hours per week

Rest Days: 2 days per week, based on roster

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure food quality, consistency and presentation.
• Interact with customers at live cooking stations and customise orders where required.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Monitor ingredients, stock levels and proper food rotation (FIFO).
• Assist with daily kitchen setup, closing and general operations.
• Work closely with team members to ensure smooth service and minimise food wastage.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of relevant kitchen or cooking experience preferred.
• Experience in live cooking stations or open kitchens is an advantage.
• Food Safety Course Level 1 certification preferred; required food safety training must be completed before handling food.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Able to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays according to roster.
