Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Staff/Senior Process Development Engineer (PDE-CEM) to lead advanced semiconductor process characterization, yield analytics, and failure analysis.

You will drive robust PORs for assembly/packaging, establish process windows, and apply DOE, SPC, and Six Sigma to optimize manufacturing performance. This role requires cross-functional leadership across PDE, Manufacturing, and Reliability to accelerate NPI and technology development.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Physics, Materials Science, or related discipline.
• 5+ years semiconductor industry experience in process development, FA, yield, or related fields.
• Strong fundamentals in device physics and materials science.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize POR for assembly and packaging technologies.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Utilize DOE/SPC and data analytics to improve yield and reliability.
• Support NPI readiness and technology transfers with strong first-pass success.
• Coach engineers and lead cross-functional teams across PDE, Manufacturing, and Reliability.
