Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Singapore is seeking a Staff Nurse for our Dialysis Center to deliver life-sustaining treatments and provide compassionate patient care. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring safety, accuracy of records, and adherence to privacy policies.

The role requires a Nursing Diploma/Degree with SNB registration and at least 1 year of nursing experience in Singapore; advanced hemodialysis training is a plus.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Degree.
• Registration with Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
• Minimum 1 year as Registered Nurse in Singapore; renal/hemodialysis experience is a plus.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver dialysis treatments and monitor patient progress in a hemodialysis setting.
• Educate patients on diet, fluids, medications and blood pressure management.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure data privacy.
• Uphold safety and IPC policies and collaborate with the care team.

What you’ll achieve

As a Staff Nurse, you’ll deliver life-sustaining care to patients with chronic kidney disease. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team, provide dialysis treatments, monitor patient progress, and offer compassionate support that makes a real difference every single day.

You will:

• Participates in the planning, delivery and evaluation of patient care within the hemodialysis clinical setting:
  Undertakes clinical/patient assessments pre, during and post dialysis treatment to evaluate effectiveness of care
  Adheres to all FMC Policies and Work Instructions related to clinical and operation management
  Reviews blood test results and report to Medical Director of any abnormalities
  Educates patients on their diet, fluid, medications and blood pressure management to optimise their clinical outcomes
  Motivates and encourages patient’s adjustment to CHD
  Monitors the water treatment system and fluid for dialysis to ensure provision of safe, quality dialysis therapies
• Establish an effective relationship with patients and maintain good communication with patients and relatives; and give adequate support.
• Ensures/promotes a safe, secure and healthy working environment to staff and a comfortable, safe environment for visitors and patients as detailed in the IPC and environment policies
• Ensure all equipment is clean, safe and in good working condition; and report defects through appropriate channels.
• Maintains accurate patient information in medical records, including Therapy Data Management System (TDMS)/EuClid Clinical Information system and abides by confidentiality and Privacy Policy.
• Protects the rights of patients by adhering to Privacy Principles and providing an excellent standard of care
• Actively participates in the quality improvement process by reporting all incidents, hazards and opportunities for improvement

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Nursing.
  Registration with Singapore Nursing Board (SNB)
  Min 1 year as Registered Nurse in Singapore – For foreign applicant
  Advanced training in hemodialysis is a plus, renal nurse experience is required
• Certified and valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
