Breeze is hiring a Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Risk, to lead the evolution of our ML platform for payment risk. You will own model development, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement, working with Risk, Software Engineering, and Data Engineering teams.

This senior role reports to the CTO and requires building production-grade ML capabilities at scale. We value a builder mentality, collaboration, and a track record of delivering in fast-moving environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of ML engineering with production ownership.
• Experience building risk or fraud-adjacent ML systems.
• Real-time payment-risk systems experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design ML infrastructure for payment risk using Databricks.
• Build feature pipelines, versioning, orchestration, monitoring.
• Train, retrain, monitor drift, and deploy models in production.
• Ensure low-latency inference and incident response for models.
• Set technical standards for ML in the risk team.
