Job summary

Kulicke & Soffa is seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer in Singapore to lead mechanical development of wedge bonder and other semiconductor equipment. You will perform hands-on mechanism design, analyses, and testing, while coordinating with suppliers to ensure successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master or Ph.D in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Precision Engineering.
• 10+ years in mechanical subsystem design & testing for semiconductor equipment.
• Experience with motion subsystem, servo motors or piezo actuators.
• Ability to diagnose motion control and servo issues; servo design knowledge a plus.
• Proficient in 3D CAD modeling, drawings, and FEM-based analysis.
• Knowledge of machining, GD&T, materials properties and vibrations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently or in teams; travel internationally for on-site support.

• Develop high-accuracy/speed motion subsystems for mechanical platforms.
• Implement, analyze, modify and verify semiconductor equipment designs.
• Perform mechanism design, root cause analysis, and testing of subsystems.
