Job summary

Kulicke and Soffa Industries, Inc. is seeking a Senior Staff Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical development of motion subsystems for Avaline and other semiconductor equipment, plus ongoing product improvements.

The role requires high-precision design, structural analysis, and hands-on testing, with collaboration across suppliers to ensure delivery to customers. Travel may be needed for on-site support and customer engagements.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical subsystem design & test in semiconductor equipment areas.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to travel internationally to provide on-site technical support.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Proficient in 3D CAD modelling, detailing drawings, and FEM.

Responsibilities

• High accuracy/speed motion subsystem’s mechanical development and existing product enhancement.
• Implementation, structural analysis, modification and verification testing of semiconductor equipment based on overall system specifications.
• Hands-on mechanism design and root-cause identification; customer support.
• Collaborate with suppliers for fabrication and delivery of final products.
