Job summary

Micron Technology Inc. is seeking a Security Firmware Engineer to create and integrate Security Firmware IP for SSD products.

You will contribute across the product development lifecycle from inception to obsolescence, ensuring functionality, security, usability, quality, and performance. You will develop and test firmware subsystems, QA tests, and collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to drive secure, high-quality storage solutions while embracing AI-enabled tooling as

Qualifications

PhD in Computer or Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years embedded firmware experience.
Or Masters/Bachelors in Electrical or Computer Engineering with at least 5 years embedded firmware experience.
Knowledge of embedded security is advantageous.
Proficiency in C, C++, and Rust; Python is a plus.
Experience with storage interfaces (PCIe/NVMe, SATA, SAS) preferred.
Experience with NAND flash and storage systems is advantageous.
Ability to apply AI literacy in analysis and problem solving.

Responsibilities

Develop and test firmware for security firmware IP in SSD products.
Develop and execute firmware QA tests to ensure quality and performance.
Communicate with management and cross-functional teams with clear status updates.
Foster collaboration and development within the team and organization.
