Job summary

Equinix in Singapore is seeking a Product Software Engineer to design and develop platform services and APIs for our software platform and services offerings. You will work closely with product engineering, architects and product managers to translate requirements into scalable products.

The role emphasizes collaboration, sophisticated design, and product quality, with exposure to AI-assisted development tools and modern DevSecOps practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing, building, and operating scalable cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, and React.js.
• Strong experience developing microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems in production environments.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, software design principles, architectural patterns, and API design.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, data modeling and performance optimization.
• Experience building and supporting cloud-based SaaS/PaaS products at scale.
• Hands-on Agile development, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience leveraging Generative AI and AI-assisted development tools to improve software delivery, quality, and engineering productivity.
• Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs, contribute to architecture decisions, and drive solutions from design through production.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Python experience is a plus, particularly in automation, data processing, backend services, or AI-related applications.

Job Summary

The Product Software team at Equinix builds next-generation software products and architecture for our Equinix software platform and services offerings. We are looking for engineers responsible for developing consistent APIs with microservices, interacting with multiple consumers and abstracting complex Enterprise Application workflows. Your primary responsibility will be to design and develop platform services, and to collaborate with partner teams to understand their requirements and consumption patterns. Thus, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and product quality is essential. You will work closely with product engineering, architects and product managers.

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership
