Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. seeks a Staff Engineer to own portions of NAND thin film processes (CVD/Diffusion) and drive robust, scalable improvements. You will supervise experiments, analyze data, and coordinate with device teams to ensure electrical and structural performance.

The role requires hands-on deposition and characterization skills, plus strong cross-functional execution and data-driven decision making to advance integration readiness.

Qualifications

• PhD ≥3 yrs, or Master’s ≥5yrs, or Bachelor’s ≥7yrs in relevant field.
• Experience linking process conditions to material properties and device behavior.
• Hands-on R&D and PD in thin film deposition plus data-driven optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and characterize thin film processes (CVD/Diffusion) to targets.
• Design experiments, analyze data, and translate results into improvements.
• Support scaling of dielectric/carbon film processes across nodes.
• Own defined portions of a process module and track risks and margins.
• Collaborate with integration/device teams to ensure performance.
