Job summary

AMS-OSRAM ASIA PACIFIC PTE. LTD. seeks a mechanical/electrical/mechatronics designer for consumer, industrial and automotive sensing markets. You will model in 3D, draw in 2D, and drive design reviews with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, manufacturable solutions.

Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD is required; knowledge of Altium/Cadence and COMSOL adds value. Prior PCB/PCB substrate experience is a plus, with die attach and wirebond familiarity a bonus.

Qualifications

• Degree/Masters in Mechanical and/or Electrical and/or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD is a must.
• Experience in Altium/Cadence for PCB test board routing with substrate and flex PCB design knowledge is a plus.
• Experience in die attach, wirebond process, packaging in transfer or compression molding is a plus.
• Knowledge of COMSOL and ability to conduct FEA/CFD simulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designer of module for consumer, industrial and automotive sensing markets, conducting design assessment (feasibility, concept, risks).
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks/AutoCAD.
• Handle substrate & flex design, PCBA design and related mechanical parts when needed.
• List CTQ, prepare FAI/SPC tables, and specify technical specs for components.
• Lead design reviews and provide DFM feedback based on tolerances and capabilities.
• Collaborate with product, process, IQC, SQE, APQ and OQC across development phases to ensure timely builds.
