Job summary

OKX Growth Team is hiring a backend engineer to accelerate global expansion through data-driven strategies and scalable microservices. You will design, implement, and maintain distributed services using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud, ensuring high availability and robust performance.

You will work with cloud-based Linux environments, gain exposure to DeFi growth opportunities, and contribute to cross-functional projects with Product, Design, and Marketing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics.
• Hands-on experience building microservices with Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of multi-threading and distributed architectures.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and messaging systems.
• Experience in cloud-based Linux environments; CI/CD and automated testing.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Marketing to deliver rapid, cross-functional innovation.
• Architect and maintain high-performance distributed services.
• Explore emerging opportunities in DeFi to promote growth and bridge centralized and decentralized solutions.

By tackling intricate business logic at scale, tapping into emerging DeFi growth opportunities, and addressing globalization and localization challenges, the team drives impactful user acquisition, engagement, and retention across global markets

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Marketing teams to deliver rapid, cross-functional innovation
• Architect and maintain high-performance, highly available distributed services
• Explore emerging opportunities in DeFi to promote growth and bridge centralized and decentralized solutions
• Solve complex business logic challenges and drive improvements for global user experiences
• Provide guidance on best practices, conduct peer code reviews, and champion continuous improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
• Hands-on experience in developing Microservices/APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud
• Strong understanding of multi-threading and distributed architectures
• Proficiency in working with both relational and NoSQL databases, messaging frameworks (e.g., Kafka), distributed caching solutions (e.g., Redis) and other essential tools
• Comfort working in a cloud-based Linux environment
• Familiarity with automated testing and continuous integration processes
