About The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Staff Mobile Engineer to join our Onshore Centralised Exchange team, the engineering group responsible for building and scaling OKX's core regulated trading experience for millions of daily active users.

You will be a senior technical voice on a global mobile team, working across iOS and Android to deliver high-quality trading, asset management, and wallet features. You are deeply native in one platform and confident contributing across both while leveraging AI coding tools to move fluidly between stacks. You will work closely with product, design, and cross‑functional engineering teams to ship features that are fast, reliable, and built to scale.

This role is open to candidates at Senior Staff level, with strong Staff‑level engineers also considered.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop new features for the OKX all‑in‑one iOS and Android app as part of a global mobile team.
• Design and build scalable mobile systems from architecture decisions through to production launch.
• Drive performance optimisation across the app, with a relentless focus on user experience and reliability at scale.
• Work closely with product and design teams to translate ideas into high‑quality, user‑facing features.
• Collaborate with international development teams to deliver localised solutions while maintaining architectural consistency.
• Apply AI coding tools to accelerate development, improve code quality, and cross‑translate solutions across iOS and Android platforms.
• Stay current with mobile industry trends and evaluate new technologies to address fast‑evolving business needs.
• Maintain high‑quality technical documentation and contribute to efficient cross‑office and cross‑timezone collaboration.
• Mentor engineers across the team and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and ownership.

What We Look For In You

• 8+ years of native iOS or Android development experience, with a strong track record of shipping production‑quality mobile code at scale.
• Deep expertise in either iOS (Swift/Objective‑C) or Android (Kotlin/Java), with confidence contributing across both platforms.
• Actively uses AI tools in your engineering workflow – including building AI‑leveraged workflows, curating domain knowledge bases, and codifying repeatable agent skills so tools like Claude Code or Codex deliver reliably on real production work.
• Solid understanding of common data structures, algorithms, and mobile performance optimisation techniques.
• Comfortable with agile development practices including TDD, CI/CD, and Scrum.
• Strong communication skills – able to collaborate effectively across global, cross‑functional teams and articulate technical trade‑offs clearly.
• Passionate about mobile technology and motivated by building experiences for a large, global user base.

Nice-To-Haves

• Hands‑on experience working across both iOS and Android in a production environment.
• Familiarity with cross‑platform frameworks such as React Native, Flutter, or Lua.
• Experience in fintech, crypto, or other high‑scale consumer app environments.
• Familiarity with DeFi protocols, wallet integrations, or on‑chain data.
