Job summary

Prosegur Singapore is seeking a dedicated Security and Surveillance Officer (SSO) to safeguard two major shopping malls in Singapore: Tampines and Alexandra. You will monitor CCTV, patrol premises, respond to incidents, control access, assist shoppers, and maintain detailed logs.

A mall-environment background and SSO rank are advantageous, with weekend/public holiday shifts required. We value professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Security Officer or Surveillance Officer, mall environment preferred.
• Valid Singaporean security license (PLRD) required.
• SSO rank holders encouraged to apply.
• Physical fitness to patrol, stand for long periods, and respond to incidents.
• Strong verbal and written communication; reliable and professional.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Basic First Aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Prosegur Singapore is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security and Surveillance Officer (SSO) to join our team, specifically serving our esteemed shopping mall clients located in Tampines and Alexandra. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with at least 1 year of experience in a similar role to contribute to maintaining a safe and secure environment for shoppers, tenants, and staff.

As an SSO, you will be instrumental in upholding the highest standards of security and public safety within these high-traffic retail environments. Your role will encompass a range of responsibilities focused on surveillance, incident response, and customer service, ensuring that our clients' properties are protected and their patrons feel secure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Surveillance and Monitoring: Actively monitor CCTV systems and conduct regular patrols of the assigned shopping mall premises (Tampines and Alexandra) to detect any suspicious activities, security breaches, or safety hazards.
• Incident Response: Respond promptly and effectively to all security incidents, emergencies, and disturbances, including but not limited to theft, vandalism, medical emergencies, fire alarms, and crowd control situations.
• Access Control: Manage and control access to restricted areas as per established protocols, ensuring that only authorized personnel are granted entry.
• Customer Service and Assistance: Provide assistance and directions to shoppers and visitors, acting as a visible and approachable point of contact for security-related inquiries and concerns.
• Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all activities, incidents, and observations. Prepare comprehensive reports as required by management and clients.
• Loss Prevention: Collaborate with mall management and tenants to implement and enforce security measures aimed at preventing theft and loss of property.
• Emergency Preparedness: Familiarize yourself with and assist in the execution of emergency procedures, including evacuation plans, in the event of fire, natural disasters, or other critical incidents.
• Adherence to Procedures: Strictly follow all Prosegur Singapore security protocols, operational procedures, and company policies.
• Teamwork and Communication: Work collaboratively with fellow security personnel, mall management, and law enforcement agencies when necessary.
• Site Familiarization: Develop a thorough understanding of the layout, operational hours, and specific security requirements of both the Tampines and Alexandra shopping mall locations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Security Officer, Surveillance Officer, or a related security role. Experience within a shopping mall environment is highly advantageous.
• SSO Rank: Candidates with an SSO rank are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Security License: Possess a valid Singaporean security license (PLRD license).
• Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and able to perform duties such as patrolling, standing for extended periods, and responding to emergencies.
• Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of individuals.
• Observational Skills: Keen attention to detail and excellent observational skills to identify potential security risks.
