Job summary

Tan Tock Seng Hospital is seeking a Sr/Technician to engineer and maintain building facilities services across the hospital. Responsibilities include responding to water issues, maintaining electrical and mechanical systems, updating CMMS records, and ensuring equipment availability.

The role requires a hands-on approach, independent multitasking, and good English communication for reporting. Candidates with CERT certification are preferred and a 24/7 rotating shift schedule is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Higher Nitec/Nitec in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Good written and spoken English for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and maintain building facilities services of the Hospital.
• Respond to water leakages, flooding, pumps and water supply issues.
• Update maintenance records in the computerised system.
• Maintain workshop facilities, tools and test equipment.
• Operate the Facilities Control Centre helpdesk and Store as needed.
• Identify and initiate spare parts procurement.
• Inspect, test, and service facilities and equipment to maximise availability.

Job description

As a Sr/Technician, you will be responsible for the engineering and maintenance of all building facilities services of the Hospital. This includes but not limited to: -

• Basic knowledge on Electrical, ACMV, Plumbing, Fire Alarm System, Mechanical and Building Services system
• Familiar with LV switchboards, DB'c MCB/RCCB/RCD/UPS, generators and power outages
• Able to respond to water leakages, flooding, pumps and water supply issues
• Able to assess MEP breakdown symptoms and identify the cause and **escalate** to the appropriate Trade IC
• Update the maintenance and breakdown records into the computerised system
• Maintain the workshop facilities, tools and test equipment
• Operate the Facilities Control Centre helpdesk and Store, when needed
• Identify and initiate spare parts procurement
• Inspect, test, service, troubleshoot all facilities and equipment to maximise their availability
• Upkeep the building's facilities and equipment

Requirements:

• Preferably Diploma/Higher Nitec/Nitec in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 4 years of engineering experience preferable in building Engineering services
• Able to multitask and work independently, with a hands-on approach, to meet tight timelines
• Good oral and written communication skills in the English language for report writing
• Committed to work on 24/7 rotating shift schedule (including night shift) and support cover duties
• Good oral and written communication skills in the English language for report writing
• Comfortable in using Microsoft Office CMMS
• Preferably CERT certified
