Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on network engineering experience.
• Minimum 2 years of AWS cloud experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid environments.
• Hands-on experience administering Check Point Firewalls.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise network infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Architect and maintain AWS networking solutions including VPCs, Transit Gateways, and Direct Connect.
• Administer Check Point NGFW environments and manage security policies, NAT, VPNs, and threat prevention.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot incidents, and support on-call maintenance.
• Develop reusable IaC templates and deployment pipelines using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and Python.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Network Engineer to design, implement, support, and optimize enterprise network and cloud infrastructure. The role focuses primarily on cloud networking and security (70%), with secondary responsibilities covering cloud platform engineering and operations (30%).

The successful candidate will have strong expertise in AWS networking, hybrid cloud connectivity, network security, and Check Point firewall administration. The engineer will work closely with infrastructure, security, application, and project teams to ensure a secure, resilient, and high-performing cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

Network Design & Implementation

• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise network infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Architect and maintain AWS networking solutions, including:
  • VPCs
  • Transit Gateways
  • Route Tables
  • Security Groups
  • Network ACLs
  • NAT Gateways
  • Load Balancers
  • PrivateLink
  • Direct Connect
  • VPN Connectivity
• Design and support hybrid cloud networking between AWS and data centres.

Firewall & Security Management

• Administer and support Check Point NGFW environments.
• Configure and manage:
  • Security policies
  • NAT rules
  • VPN tunnels
  • Threat Prevention

  • Application Control
  • URL Filtering
• Perform firewall rule reviews and security hardening.
• Troubleshoot network security incidents and connectivity issues.

Network Operations

• Monitor network performance, availability, and security posture.
• Perform root cause analysis for network-related incidents.
• Support operational activities including incident, problem, and change management.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Participate in on-call support and planned maintenance activities.

Security & Compliance

• Ensure network configurations comply with corporate security standards.
• Support vulnerability remediation and audit requirements.
• Work closely with cybersecurity teams on security assessments and remediation activities.
• Deploy and manage AWS infrastructure services.
• Support cloud platform operations across production and non-production environments.
• Manage and maintain:

  • EBS
  • S3
  • RDS
  • IAM
  • Route53
  • CloudWatch
  • Systems Manager
• Support backup and disaster recovery requirements.

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

• Terraform
• CloudFormation
• Ansible
• Python scripting
• Develop reusable infrastructure templates and deployment pipelines.
• Monitor cloud resource utilization and recommend improvements.
• Participate in cloud modernization and migration projects.

Project Delivery

• Support infrastructure implementation projects.
• Collaborate with architects and project managers during solution design and deployment phases.
• Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer to operational teams.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on network engineering experience.
• Minimum 2 years of AWS cloud experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid environments.
• Hands-on experience administering Check Point Firewalls.
