Job Summary
As a Micron Global Quality FE Central (Senior) QE Product Engineer, you will be a member of the worldwide quality team, responsible for driving quality and reliability initiatives into the FE MFG network for HBM products used in critical customer AI applications. You will collaborate with PE/GQ QRA/FE fab teams, Central PIE, and smart manufacturing AI teams to develop and execute quality programs and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and communicate quality strategy with line‑of‑sight metrics and goals to monitor execution health.
- Lead cross‑functional initiatives or enabling projects that support FE MFG leadership and companywide quality objectives.
- Establish quality related programs and initiatives to support critical network expansions, such as the Singapore HBM expansion and the Boise ID1 new tech node setup.
- Leverage Micron‑approved AI tools and data‑driven methodologies to enhance engineering effectiveness, accelerate learning cycles, and improve quality decision‑making.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to identify opportunities for AI‑enabled process improvements that enhance product quality, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Provide tactical support: develop and drive compliance in global business processes related to product quality; work with cross‑functional teams to develop and deploy BKMs for BE to FE teamwork processes such as WL DPM forecast and RMA DPM reduction.
- Act as a subject‑matter expert in reliability fail modes and their detection; drive and engage in quality projects for overall DPM reduction.
- Work with fab teams to act on and provide corrective and preventive actions regarding customer feedback on quality and product issues.
- Collaborate with Central PIE to ensure rapid internal DPM reduction during technology‑node ramping.
Qualifications
- Good presentation skills with the capability to lead large group discussions.
- Strong project‑management and problem‑solving skills.
- Data extraction, analysis, and reporting skills.
- Expertise in frontend manufacturing processes, frontend/backend test flows, methodologies, and product fail modes.
- Knowledge of DRAM products.
- Proficiency in English for verbal and written communication.
- Experience using AI‑enabled productivity tools, data analytics platforms, or automation solutions to improve engineering workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field of study.
- At least three (3+) years of experience in semiconductor company product quality assurance, process integration, product engineering, or product yield enhancement areas.
