Job summary

GLOBALFOUNDRIES SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. - FAB 7 is seeking a highly capable engineer to oversee manufacturing processes in the fab, ensuring productive use of equipment, safety and quality.

The role collaborates with operations, engineering and EH&S teams to optimize cycle times, throughput and overall productivity within a fast-paced semiconductor environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering is required.
• Good understanding of manufacturing principles and process discipline.
• Familiar with engineering methodologies such as data analysis, root cause analysis and SPC.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams in a fab environment.
• Strong communication skills on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Provides oversight and guidance of operational activities to meet daily manufacturing targets and goals.
• Addresses cycle time, throughput, prototype success and UPH in capacity models.
• Prepares and manages shipment plans.
• Supports automated assembly tools used in manufacturing processes.
• Collaborates with engineering and industrial engineering for accurate assumptions and constraints used in capacity modeling.
• Drives manufacturing efficiencies, quality and productivity improvements.
• Performs activities safely and adheres to EH&S and security requirements.
• Works with other projects and assignments as needed.

Job Description

Typically performs one or more of the following as directed and/or independently:

• Provides oversite and guidance of operational activities in ensuring productive use of manufacturing, process and equipment to meet the daily targets and operational goals
• Cycle time, Throughput, Prototype success and Fabout
• Shipment Plan
• Supports automated assembly tools to support manufacturing processes
• Supports engineering and industrial engineering for accurate and up-to-date assumptions, constraints and UPH are used in the tools capacity modeling
• Drives manufacturing efficiencies, quality and productivity improvements
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
• Work and collaborate other projects and/or assignments as needed

Job Requirements

• Degree in Engineering
• Good understanding of manufacturing principles, equipment interaction, and process discipline within a semiconductor fab environment
• Familiar with standard engineering and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., data analysis, root cause analysis, SPC) to identify, analyze, and resolve routine manufacturing issues
• Can works effectively as part of manufacturing, operations, or module teams to support day-to-day production and continuous improvement initiatives
• Good communication skills to work with various stakeholders on the fab floor
