Job summary

Ng Teng Fong General Hospital is seeking a Research Assistant to support Principal Investigators and the Speech Therapy research team in conducting clinical studies. The role includes participant recruitment, data collection and management, and coordinating multi-centre activities to ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory requirements.

You will liaise with clinicians, researchers, hospital departments, and collaborating institutions, and you will maintain accurate study documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare-related discipline or similar
• Interest in clinical research and healthcare projects
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with participants and professionals
• Good organisational and time management with multiple tasks
• Attention to detail and accurate record-keeping
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management systems
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

• Clinical Research Support: assist investigators and study teams in planning and coordinating studies
• Participant Recruitment and Data Collection: identify, approach, obtain consent, collect speech samples and outcome measures
• Study Coordination: schedule assessments, randomisation, liaise with ethics boards and collaborators
• Data Management: enter, verify, and maintain data in study databases and ensure confidentiality
• Administrative Support: prepare study documents and support regulatory submissions and monitoring
