Job summary

Labcorp Singapore invites final-year science students to apply for the Intern – Medical Technologist (Special Chemistry) program. This paid internship runs 20 weeks onsite from Jan to Jun 2027, offering hands-on experience in a drug development setting within the Special Chemistry Department.

Gain exposure to immunological techniques from automation to manual testing, learn assay applications for clinical and commercial use, and operate multiple analyzers under mentorship.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, Biochemistry or related bachelor programs.
• Other degree programs can be considered.
• Final-year students preferred; all levels pursuing relevant fields encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Gained clinical experience in a drug development laboratory.
• Understood clinical testing from sample collection to testing.
• Trained in protein electrophoresis techniques and interpretation for Multiple Myeloma.
• Operated and maintained multiple analyzers under supervision.
• Performed quality control testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Attended modules on quality control, pipetting and informatics labware.
• Participated in professional development workshops to enhance soft skills.
• Received instruction and mentorship throughout the program.
• Delivered a final presentation to demonstrate training outcomes.
