Job summary

Alcon, a global leader in eye care, is seeking an Associate, Repair & Maintenance Engineering (Spare Parts Management) in Singapore to oversee inventory control within the Engineering Department and collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth operations at the manufacturing plant.

Your day includes managing spare parts inventory with IBM Maximo, tracking min/max levels, coordinating deliveries, and performing scheduled stock counts to maintain accuracy.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years inventory control experience in manufacturing/production.
• GMP exposure; Maximo experience is highly advantageous.
• Willing to work at Tuas South with company transport provided.

Responsibilities

• Manage spare parts inventory using IBM Maximo Application Suite.
• Track min/max levels and place orders to ensure availability.
• Follow up on parts delivery, GR and invoices.
• Plan and perform scheduled stock counts to maintain accuracy.
• Monitor stock levels, consumption rates, and inventory trends.
• Track monthly spending in the system.
• Maintain housekeeping and comply with quality and HSE requirements.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Generate inventory insights and recommend purchasing needs.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams and SMEs on spare parts needs.
• Support parts identification, cataloging and inventory optimization.
