Job summary

GASTON PTE. LTD. at Millenia Walk is seeking a Sous Chef for our new French Brasserie & Rotisserie in Singapore. You will support daily kitchen operations and work with the Head Chef to deliver high-quality dishes.

You will enforce HACCP-based safety standards, manage food and labor costs, oversee purchasing and inventory, and ensure guest satisfaction through meticulous preparation and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Undertake duties of your position or other duties as directed by the Company.
• Report to the Head Chef.
• Observe regulations and directions from time to time made by the Company or given to you and strive to further the business.
• Be involved in day-to-day kitchen operations.
• Ensure efficiency of purchasing of supplies.
• Manage and budget food & labor costs.
• Take care of portion control and quantities to minimize waste.
• Comply with health and safety regulations to meet food safety standards.
• Maintain daily safety and sanitation checks in the kitchen and service areas per HACCP.
• Keep the kitchen clean at all times and ensure washing before end of workday.
• Oversee food orders, inventory and vendor relationships.
• Pre-prepare food as required.
• Anticipate and meet guest needs and any unexpected requests.
• Perform any duties in the capacity as needed.

We are opening a new French Brasserie & Rotisserie in Millenia Walk and we are looking for a sous chef.

Your duties as Sous Chef are as follows:

• You shall undertake the duties and responsibility of your position or such other duties and responsibilities as and when directed by the Company.
• Report to the Head Chef
• In the discharge of your duties and responsibilities, you shall observe and comply with all regulations and directions from time to time made by the Company or given to you and shall endeavor to further the business and interests of the Company.
• You shall be involved in the day-to-day kitchen operations
• Ensure efficiency of purchasing of supplies.

• Comply with all health and safety regulations to ensure practices are according to food safety standards.
• Maintain daily safety and sanitation checks in the kitchen and food service areas in accordance to HACCP.
• Keep the kitchen clean at all times and to make sure everything is washed in the kitchen before the end of the workday.
• Overseeing food orders, food inventory and relationships with vendors
• Pre-prepare food as required.
• Anticipate and meet the needs and unexpected wishes of every guest.
• Perform any duties in the capacity as needed.
