Job summary

TEMP-TEAM PTE LTD in Singapore seeks a Presales Engineer / Solutions Consultant – SASE & Network Security to support design and delivery of security solutions for commercial and SME customers.

You will combine cybersecurity and network security expertise with presales duties, work with account managers and delivery teams, conduct demonstrations and PoCs, and translate customer requirements into practical, budget-aligned designs.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years in cybersecurity, network security or related tech field.
• 2+ years in SOC operations at L2 level or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of firewalls/NGFW, VPN, IPS/IDS, web proxy, network segmentation.
• Working knowledge of SASE or SSE concepts and related tech.
• Experience in presales or customer-facing technical roles.
• Experience supporting commercial/SME customers in Singapore.
• Experience with SI/VAR/MSSP or similar partner environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate tech requirements into practical solutions.

About the Role

We are seeking a Presales Engineer / Solutions Consultant – SASE & Network Security to support the development and delivery of network security and SASE solutions for commercial and SME customers in Singapore.

The role combines cybersecurity and network security expertise with customer-facing presales responsibilities. The successful candidate will work closely with account managers, customers and technical delivery teams to understand customer requirements, design appropriate solutions, conduct demonstrations and proof-of-concepts, and support opportunities through technical closure.

The position operates within a telecommunication environment and requires the ability to integrate network and security technologies into practical solutions aligned with customer requirements and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with account managers to support the sales process for SASE, network security and related solutions.
• Conduct technical discovery sessions to understand customers' network environments, security requirements and operational challenges.
• Analyze customer requirements and translate them into appropriate technical solution designs.
• Design security architectures incorporating relevant technologies such as SASE, SSE, NGFW, VPN, SD-WAN and related network security solutions.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations, demonstrations and proof-of-concepts.
• Configure relevant policies, integrations and basic security workflows for demonstrations and PoCs where required.
• Prepare technical proposals, Bills of Materials, solution documentation and responses to RFPs and RFIs.
• Work with internal engineering and delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are technically feasible and aligned with customer requirements.
• Provide technical consultation to customers on network security, cloud-delivered security and security operations.
• Support account managers in addressing technical requirements and progressing opportunities towards technical closure.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in SASE, SSE, network security and related technologies.

Essential Requirements

• At least 4 to 7 years of relevant professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, security engineering, presales, solution engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 2 years of SOC operations experience at L2 level or equivalent, involving activities such as escalated incident investigation, security monitoring, threat analysis, investigation of security events or security-rule tuning.
• Strong practical knowledge of network security technologies, including firewalls/NGFW, VPN, IPS/IDS, web proxy and network segmentation.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including routing and network architecture.
• Working knowledge of SASE or SSE concepts, including relevant technologies such as ZTNA, SWG, CASB, FWaaS and SD-WAN.
• At least 2 years of experience in presales, solution engineering, technical consulting or another customer-facing technical role involving cybersecurity or networking solutions.
• Experience supporting commercial or SME customers in Singapore.
• Experience working in a system integrator, managed security service provider, value-added reseller, technology partner or similar customer-facing technical environment.
• Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into practical and commercially appropriate solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Networking or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
• Practical experience designing, implementing or supporting SASE or SSE solutions.
• Experience working with multiple network security or networking technology vendors.
• Experience conducting customer workshops, technical discovery sessions or security assessments.
• Experience preparing RFP/RFI responses, technical proposals and Bills of Materials.
• Relevant professional certifications in cybersecurity, networking or cloud security.
