Job summary

Epergne Solutions is seeking an experienced Unix/Linux administrator to manage Solaris and IBM AIX environments in Singapore. The role emphasizes patch management, vulnerability remediation, and system stability through automated checks.

You will handle OS, hardware, and firmware patching with BigFix/SCCM, work on clustering/RAID, and ensure patch compliance with strong incident management skills in an SLA-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of Linux/Unix system administration experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Solaris and IBM AIX administration and patching.
• Mandatory experience in patch management, vulnerability assessment and remediation.
• Experience with BigFix, SCCM or similar patch management tools.
• Knowledge of clustering, RAID, hardware/firmware upgrades and shell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Solaris and IBM AIX server environments.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, patch planning, OS updates and security remediation.
• Execute OS, hardware and firmware patching using BigFix, SCCM or similar tools.
• Automate pre- and post-patching checks and validate system stability after deployments.
• Troubleshoot OS, hardware and patch-related issues.
• Support clustering, RAID, system logs, availability and disaster recovery activities.
• Maintain patch compliance reports, operational documentation and change records.
• Provide scheduled maintenance, weekend roster and on-call support as required.
