Job summary

Epergne Solutions in Singapore seeks an experienced Linux/Unix Systems Administrator to own patching, hardening and day-to-day operations of our RHEL fleet. You will plan and execute patch deployments, automate tasks, monitor logs, and provide on-call support while collaborating with teams to maintain security and compliance.

Required 8-12 years of experience, strong RHEL skills, and familiarity with BigFix or SCCM; weekend rosters and on-call duties are part of the role.

Qualifications

8-12 years of Linux/Unix system administration experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
Mandatory experience in OS patching, vulnerability management and security remediation.
Experience with patch management tools (BigFix, SCCM or similar).
Knowledge of shell scripting, clustering, RAID and hardware/firmware patching.
Strong troubleshooting, communication and incident management skills.
Willingness to support scheduled maintenance, weekend rosters and on-call duties.

Responsibilities

Administrate and maintain Linux servers.
Perform patch assessment, security updates, vulnerability remediation and OS upgrades.
Plan and execute patch deployments using BigFix, SCCM or similar tools.
Conduct pre- and post-patching checks, troubleshooting and rollback activities.
Automate patching tasks using shell scripting or other suitable tools.
Monitor system logs, availability and compliance; maintain operational reports and documentation.
Follow change management procedures and provide scheduled and on-call support as required.
