Job summary

APBA TG HUMAN RESOURCE PTE. LTD. is seeking a QA tester in Singapore to perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing across web-based and integrated systems.

You will execute manual test cases from project specs and collaborate with developers to verify fixes. The role requires 1–2 years of QA experience, strong STLC understanding, and familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, and TestRail.

Responsibilities:

Functional & Manual Testing

• Perform functional, regression, integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support.

• Execute manual test cases based on project requirements and specifications.

• Validate system functionalities, workflows, interfaces, and business processes.

• Perform end-to-end testing for web-based and integrated systems.

• Verify defect fixes and conduct re-testing activities.

Test Planning & Documentation

• Develop, review, and maintain:

  • Test plans

  • Test scenarios

  • Test cases

  • Test scripts

  • Test reports

• Ensure test documentation is complete, organized, and traceable to project requirements.

• Support the collection and documentation of test evidence for audit and governance purposes.

Defect Management

• Log, track, and manage defects using project tracking tools.

• Work closely with developers and technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

• Follow up on outstanding defects and support timely closure.

• Participate in defect triage, prioritization, and resolution discussions.

Automation & API Testing

• Support automation testing activities where applicable.

• Exposure to automation tools such as Playwright will be an advantage.

• Perform basic API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or other REST API tools.

• Validate API request and response data, including JSON formats and integration behaviour.

Project & Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate with Project Managers, Developers, System Engineers, and Business Users throughout testing activities.

• Support System Integration Testing (SIT), UAT, deployment verification, and production validation.

• Communicate testing progress, defects, risks, and issues clearly to stakeholders.

• Provide testing support during project implementation and operational readiness activities.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or other related disciplines

• 1–2 years of relevant experience in software testing or Quality Assurance (QA) will be advantageous.

• Experience working on enterprise or government projects will be an added advantage.

• Software Testing experience: Manual and functional testing, Regression and integration testing, SIT and UAT support

• Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)

• Ability to write clear, detailed, and structured test cases

• Automation Testing Experience:Exposure to Playwright or other test automation tools

• Understanding of test automation concepts and frameworks

• Experience with automated test execution and reporting is advantageous but not mandatory

• Basic knowledge or experience in API testing, RESTful APIs, Postman or equivalent tools,

  JSON request/response validation

• Familiarity with tools such as: Jira, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, TestRail and Confluence
