Job summary

COMBUILDER PTE LTD is seeking a Software QA Engineer to design, implement, and execute comprehensive test strategies across Agile sprints, ensuring new features meet acceptance criteria and quality standards.

You will collaborate with developers, product owners, and analysts to perform manual and automated testing using Selenium and Cypress, contributing to CI/CD pipelines with detailed test plans and bug reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 2 years in software quality assurance or testing within Agile teams.
• Proficient in manual and automated testing: unit, integration, system, and UAT.
• Experience with test automation frameworks/tools (Selenium, Cypress, JUnit/TestNG).
• Familiarity with CI/CD and Agile testing methodologies.
• Strong collaboration with developers, analysts, and users to ensure quality.
• Detail-oriented with strong ability to write test plans, cases, and bug reports.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test strategies, plans, and test cases to ensure software quality in Agile lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Engineering & Test Design

• Design, develop, and execute test strategies, plans, and test cases to ensure software quality throughout the Agile development lifecycle.
• Design and execute test cases based on acceptance criteria, ensuring new features meet defined quality standards.

Testing & Automation

• Contribute to the automation of test cases and continuous testing processes using relevant tools and frameworks.
• Perform manual and automated testing across functional, integration, system, and UAT stages.

Defect Management

• Identify, document, prioritise, and track defects through resolution.
• Collaborate closely with developers to triage issues, verify fixes, and ensure timely closure.

Agile Collaboration

• Work alongside developers and product owners to test early and frequently within each sprint.
• Ensure quality is maintained consistently throughout the Agile lifecycle.
• Support UAT efforts through preparation of evidence, test artefacts, and functional validation.

Documentation & Reporting

• Ensure test results, logs, and evidence are properly documented and audit‑ready.
• Produce clear, comprehensive, and structured test plans, test cases, and bug reports.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing roles within Agile teams.
• Proficient in manual and automated testing techniques, including unit, integration, system, and UAT testing.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, or similar).
• Familiarity with Agile testing methodologies and continuous testing in CI/CD environments.
• Strong ability to collaborate with developers, business analysts, and users to ensure high‑quality deliverables.
• Highly proficient in writing detailed test plans, test cases, and bug reports with strong attention to detail.
