Job summary

FERMAX ASIA PACIFIC PTE. LTD. is seeking a QA professional to own end-to-end testing across web and mobile apps.

You will design and execute test scenarios, maintain automated scripts in Python, and validate REST APIs with Postman. The role involves working with Confluence, Jira, and CI/CD workflows to ensure quality across releases. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and execute test cases in Qase with results and evidence.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing for web and mobile apps.
• Develop automated tests using Appium (Python) for mobile and Selenium/Playwright (Python) for web.
• Test REST APIs using Postman; verify requests, responses, status codes, auth, and errors.
• Investigate issues using browser tools, logs, and SQL to isolate defects.
• Validate auth workflows, session management, and RBAC.
• Compare UI against Figma designs and report visual issues.
• Conduct cross-browser/mobile testing with BrowserStack.
• Log and track defects in Jira with clear repro steps and evidence.
• Verify fixes and perform regression tests; monitor automated tests via Jenkins.
• Use Git and GitHub CLI to support version control and CI/CD integration.
• Participate in defect triage and release validation, reporting coverage and risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Review requirements in Confluence and user stories in Jira to identify test scenarios and clarify acceptance criteria.
• Analyze existing applications to understand their functionality, business rules, and user workflows, and derive test scenarios where documentation is incomplete or unavailable.
• Create, maintain, and execute test cases in Qase, recording results and supporting evidence.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing for web and mobile applications.
• Develop and maintain automated tests using Appium with Python for mobile applications and Selenium or Playwright with Python for web applications.
• Test REST APIs using Postman or equivalent tools, validating requests, responses, status codes, authentication, authorization, and error handling.
• Investigate issues using browser developer tools, network traces, application logs, and SQL queries to help isolate frontend, backend, or data-related defects.
• Validate authentication workflows, session management, account lockout, API rate limiting, and role-based access permissions.
• Compare application screens against Figma designs and report visual, responsive layout, and interaction issues.
• Perform cross-browser and mobile device compatibility testing using BrowserStack.
• Log and track defects in Jira, providing clear reproduction steps, expected and actual results, and supporting evidence.
• Verify defect fixes and perform regression testing to identify unintended impacts.
• Run and monitor automated tests through Jenkins, investigate failures, and communicate results.
• Use Git and GitHub CLI to support version control and repository workflows for test automation.
• Participate in defect triage, and release validation, communicating test coverage, unresolved defects, and release risks.

Required Skills &Qualifications

• 2–3 years of hands‑on QA experience covering manual testing, automation, and API testing.
• Practical experience with Appium for mobile automation and working knowledge of Selenium or Playwright for web automation.
• Proficiency in Python for writing, maintaining, and debugging automated test scripts.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, JSON, headers, cookies, and token‑based authentication.
• Hands‑on experience using Postman or equivalent API testing tools.
• Ability to design positive, negative, boundary‑value, and role‑based test scenarios.
• Ability to understand existing application workflows, identify requirement gaps, and seek clarification from relevant stakeholders.
• Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and defect investigation.
• Experience with test management, defect tracking, and documentation tools such as Qase, Jira, and Confluence, or equivalents.
• Ability to interpret Figma designs and validate UI implementation.
• Working knowledge of Git and an understanding of how automated tests run within CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum, the software testing lifecycle, and defect management.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and clear written and verbal communication.

Good to Have

• Familiarity with BrowserStack, Jenkins, and GitHub CLI.
• Experience with pytest, reusable test fixtures, and test reporting.
• Exposure to performance testing using JMeter or k6.
• Basic knowledge of accessibility and application security testing.
• Experience testing webhooks, notifications, payment integrations, or other third‑party Hardware services.
