MODEAK PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a junior QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of payment and business-critical systems through manual and automated testing across the SDLC.

The role collaborates with Business, Product, Operations, Technology, and external stakeholders to deliver projects with high quality. Requires at least 3 years of software testing experience; ISTQB/Agile certifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in software testing, QA, test automation or validation.
• Experience with web/mobile/API testing and performance testing.

Responsabilités

• Analyze and document system requirements with stakeholders to ensure traceability and testability.
• Create and maintain test plans and strategies; manage environments and mitigate risks.
• Execute functional testing, manage defects, and perform root-cause analysis across projects.
• Coordinate and execute UAT with business stakeholders and provide status updates.
• Design and maintain automated tests integrated with CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines.
• Support deployment readiness and provide testing support for regional teams.

Job Summary

We are seeking for a detail-oriented go getter to ensure the quality and reliability of integrated e-payment and business-critical systems through comprehensive testing activities across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Our engineer will work closely with Business, Product, Operations, Technology, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery while maintaining high quality standards through both manual and automated testing practices.

Key Responsibilities

• 1) Requirements Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement - Analyze and document system requirements through walkthrough sessions with cross-functional stakeholders to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria to ensure project traceability and testability.
• 2) Test Planning & Design - Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and strategies ensuring requirement traceability, adequate test environments, and effective management of testing environments and mitigation plans.
• 3) Test Execution & Defect Management - Execute functional user acceptance testing to analyze results, while managing defects through resolution and conducting root cause analysis to handle multiple projects and releases concurrently.
• 4) User Acceptance Testing (UAT) - Coordinate and execute UAT with business stakeholders reviewing user stories and test documentation, to provide regular status reports and defect resolution with development teams.
• 5) Test Automation & DevSecOps - Design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions integrated with CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines to improve test coverage, release efficiency, and quality assurance processes.
• 6) Deployment & Production Support - Support deployment readiness and production rollout by recommending preventive actions, and provide testing support to regional teams as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, test automation, or system validation.
• Proven experience in end-to-end testing across web, mobile, API, backend systems, SIT, UAT, Regression Testing, and Performance Testing.
• Experience in banking, payments, financial services, e-payment platforms, or transaction processing systems is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Experience in test management, test automation, programming or scripting, and API Testing tools.
• Possess excellent professional skills.
• Candidates with ISTQB/Agile/Scrum, DEVOps Certification are advantageous.
