Job summary

Activate Interactive Pte Ltd is seeking a QA Engineer on a fixed-term 1-year contract to own the testing strategy for a cloud-based digital platform. The role emphasizes automation-first testing, including regression, API and UAT support within an Agile delivery environment.

You will design and maintain end-to-end QA frameworks, integrate automated testing with CI/CD, and ensure release quality. Strong experience with Playwright/Cypress/Selenium and API testing is required.

Qualifications

• At least 3-4 years of QA experience with hands-on automation testing.
• Experience designing and implementing end-to-end QA automation frameworks.
• Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or equivalent.
• Strong API testing experience with Postman, Newman, REST Assured or equivalent.
• Ability to design comprehensive functional, regression, integration and negative test cases.
• Basic SQL queries for test data validation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test reporting.
• Experience with Agile testing and security testing concepts.
• Defect tracking and test management tooling experience.

Responsibilities

• Own testing strategy, automated regression testing, and API testing for the cloud-based platform.
• Build and maintain automated regression test suites for critical user journeys.
• Prepare UAT test scenarios and support business users during UAT.
• Conduct regression, smoke, and release testing to ensure production readiness.

What will you do?

We are looking for a QA Engineer to own the testing strategy, automated regression testing, API testing, functional testing, UAT support and release quality assurance for the cloud-based digital platform.

• The role is automation-first and is responsible for ensuring workflows, processes, logic, dashboards, access controls and integrations are tested continuously throughout Agile delivery.
• Test Strategy: Prepare test strategy, test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test data and regression test packs.
• Automation Testing: Build and maintain automated regression test suites for critical user journeys.
• UAT Support: Prepare UAT test scenarios, support business users during UAT and verify production readiness.
• Release Support: Conduct regression testing, smoke testing and release validation before deployment.

What are we looking for?

• Experience: At least 3-4 years of QA experience, with strong hands‑on automation testing experience.
• QA Framework Setup: Hands‑on experience designing and implementing end‑to‑end QA automation frameworks, integrating automated testing tools with CI/CD pipelines test reporting platforms, and automated quality gates.
• Automation Tools: Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or equivalent.
• API Testing: Strong experience with Postman, Newman, REST Assured or equivalent.
• Test Design: Ability to design clear and comprehensive functional, regression, integration and negative test cases.
• Database Validation: Ability to perform basic SQL queries for test data validation.
• CI/CD: Familiarity with running automated tests in CI/CD pipelines and interpreting test reports.
• Agile Testing: Experience testing continuously within Agile sprint delivery.
• Security Testing Support: Understanding of authentication testing, authorisation testing, access control validation, input validation and security regression testing.
• Defect Management: Experience with defect tracking tools and test management tools.
