Job summary

Keysight Eggplant is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join the connectivity team, focusing on validating new features, writing automated tests, and collaborating with developers to resolve issues. You will contribute to a robust testing framework across web, mobile, and cloud environments.

In this role you will manage the regression suite for Eggplant connectivity products, improve automation strategies, and help elevate testability and user experience while working in an Agile DevOps

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in QA role.
• 2+ years of experience writing automated tests.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, QA processes and concepts.
• Experience testing web-based systems.
• Proficiency in Agile, Lean and XP practices; good programming knowledge.
• Experience with CI/CD and Git.

Responsibilities

• Manage regression suite for Keysight Eggplant connectivity products, including release/sign-off processes.
• Review and improve automated test strategy for these applications.
• Ensure products and components function well to provide a quality user experience; adapt to new platforms.
• Identify and report bugs; perform root-cause analysis for failures.

About the Job

We are looking for an experienced and eager QA Engineer to join our connectivity team, which allows our customers to test devices of all types: from cash registers to modern SaaS applications. You will play an integral role in testing the functionality of our gateway product, focusing on the validation of new features, writing automated tests using state-of-the-art tools (including our own testing tools) and working with developers in the engineering team to resolve bugs and improve usability. About the Team

Keysight Eggplant helps businesses to test, monitor and analyze their end-to-end customer experience across different interfaces, platforms, browsers, and devices - including mobile, IoT, and desktop - in agile, DevOps, and innovative application and data environments.

Within Eggplant, the connectivity team is responsible for exposing systems under test to the other parts of the Eggplant software (like Android, iOS and mobile cloud providers).

• Manage a regression suite for the Eggplant connectivity products, including the release/signoff process
• Review and improve an automated test strategy for these applications
• Ensure products and components function well to provide an exceptional user experience. Requires good understanding of process management and the ability to adapt to new platforms quickly
• Identify and raise issue reports for bugs
• Provide input to the design and development process to improve testability, quality and user experience
• Develop and drive advanced testing techniques for the project with the goal of improved quality and productivity
• Debugging failed tests and root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in a QA role.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience writing automated tests.
• Strong knowledge of software development life cycles, QA process and concepts.
• Working knowledge of testing web-based systems.
• Solid knowledge of Agile, Lean and XP development practices and good programming knowledge.
• Experience working with CI / CD and familiar with git.

Desired Qualifications

• Comfortable working from the command line on Linux and Windows
• Experience with test automation for mobile applications
• Knowledge and experience with test automation tools
• Experience with AWS cloud platform (or Azure or Google Cloud Platform)
• Experience with tools such as Kubernetes/Docker for deploying test environments
• Experience with Dotnet
• Experience with remote desktop technologies such as VNC, RDP, Citrix, etc.
