Job summary

Randstad Singapore is seeking a senior software engineering leader to drive the technical vision and architectural roadmap for cloud-native platforms, microservices, and API integrations.

You will mentor a distributed global engineering workforce, standardize the SDLC with CI/CD and observability, and partner with executive leadership to align technology with business goals. Experience with AWS and AI tooling is essential; based at the Singapore HQ.

Qualifications

• 11+ years of software engineering experience.
• 7+ years in managing a sizable team (>20 HCs).
• Hands-on proficiency with modern languages, APIs, databases, and cloud computing.
• Architectural expertise with cloud platforms (AWS strongly preferred), microservices, and API design principles.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the technical vision and roadmap for cloud-native platforms.

Your role involves:

• Drive the overarching technical vision and architectural roadmap for cloud-native platforms, microservices, and complex API integrations.
• Act as a core strategic advisor to executive leadership (MD/CEO), seamlessly aligning overarching business objectives with robust technology delivery.
• Lead, mentor, and expand a distributed, global engineering workforce including software architects, engineering managers, and developers.
• Standardize the software development lifecycle (SDLC) by implementing rigorous CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability frameworks.
• Spearhead the integration of modern AI tools, such as LLM APIs and code-generation workflows, to establish new operational standards and boost team productivity.
• Oversee technical governance and risk mitigation to ensure enterprise-grade security across all high-transaction implementations.
• Collaborate closely with business users to identify automation opportunities and iterate on delivered solutions using operational feedback.

Skills and experience required

As a successful applicant, you will have:

• At least 11 years of software engineering experience
• At least 7 years in managing a sizable (>20 HCs)
• Deep hands-on proficiency utilizing modern programming languages, APIs, databases, and cloud computing frameworks.
