Job summary

IHUB SOLUTIONS PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a software developer to build and maintain native Android apps and robust backend services. You will work with Java/Kotlin on Android and C#/.NET on the server, translating operational needs into practical software solutions.

You will collaborate with users and fellow developers on projects, manage smaller initiatives end-to-end, and ensure smooth data access through SQL Server and related databases.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or IT.
• Experience with native Android development in Java/Kotlin.
• Familiarity with C# and .NET for backend APIs.
• Knowledge of REST, relational databases and SQL; SQL Server preferred.
• Able to communicate with non-technical users.
• 2–4 years of development experience preferred; strong fresh graduates with project experience may be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain in-house Android applications using Java and/or Kotlin.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or an equivalent discipline.
• Experience or a strong foundation in software development, with exposure to native Android development using Java and/or Kotlin.
• Familiarity with C# and .NET development, with the ability to work on backend APIs, business logic and application integrations.
• Working understanding of REST APIs, application integration, relational databases and SQL; experience with Microsoft SQL Server is preferred.
• Ability to communicate with non-technical users, understand operational problems and translate them into workable software solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills, independence, curiosity and an interest in understanding business processes.
• Around 2-4 years of relevant software development experience is preferred. Strong fresh graduates with substantial software development or Android project experience may also be considered.

Good to Have

• Experience with PostgreSQL or exposure to multiple relational database platforms.
• Experience maintaining, improving or modernising existing Android applications.
• Experience with API and system integration work across mobile and backend applications.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Codex or similar tools to improve software development productivity.
• Exposure to integrating AI or LLM capabilities into software applications.
