Job summary

Lasers Singapore is seeking a Software Development Engineer to provide end-to-end software and IT infrastructure support for hardware validation and test environments. The role will be responsible for maintaining stable system operations, developing and enhancing test tools, supporting software applications, managing SQL databases, and implementing automation solutions for laboratory operations.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years in software development, system support, or related engineering environment.
• Strong programming background with C, Python, C#, VB 6.0, ASP.NET, MS SQL Server, Microsoft Access, IIS, and Visual Studio.
• Experience supporting software applications used in hardware validation, testing, engineering, laboratory, or manufacturing environments is highly relevant.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance software applications supporting product qualification, hardware validation, and R&D laboratory operations.
• Develop and maintain test applications, databases, reporting systems, and web-based tools.
• Drive end-to-end integration across applications, databases, backend services, and user interfaces.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system integration, data flow, logging, test execution, and software reliability.
• Collaborate with Hardware R&D Engineers to translate testing requirements into software solutions.
