Job summary

OCBC is seeking a Software Engineer in Singapore to design, develop and test banking software solutions. You will work with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices to deliver APIs and integrations, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

The role emphasizes high-quality coding, code reviews, and reliable problem solving across complex banking applications. You will contribute to open standards, cloud-native deployments, and DevOps practices, ensuring scalable and secure services

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
At least 3 years of experience in software development, preferably in banking/financial services.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical design capabilities.
Excellent communication and ability to work across development, architecture, DevOps and platform teams.
Ownership of deliverables from design and development through testing and deployment.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and test software applications using Java, Spring Boot and related technologies.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and develop solutions.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
