Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of feature design and deployment, operating seamlessly across the stack from backend infrastructure to frontend mobile and web ecosystems.
• Mentor junior engineers on reliable, scalable, and secure designs.
• Lead technical designs for robust backend services and data processing pipelines that support massive-scale growth experiments.
• Ensure long-term feature reliability by building comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and automated performance tracking.
• Contribute to engineering excellence by participating in design reviews, improving code quality, and leveraging DevAI and agentic coding workflows to accelerate end-to-end development.

In this role, you will lead the technical execution of growth initiatives to scale our user base. You will have true ownership of the full feature lifecycle, building solutions that span entirely from robust backend systems to seamless frontend UI components, leveraging agentic workflows and DevAI tools to accelerate delivery and productivity.

Whether it is paying online with Autofill, using tap and pay in stores, or using the Google Pay app, the Payments team at Google is focused on making payments simple, seamless, and secure. In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses.
