Job summary

Tap Growth ai in Singapore is seeking a Software Engineer for the FX Digital Platform to join our office-based team. You will contribute to full-stack development, build scalable backend services, and collaborate with product and AI engineers to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.

You will work across frontend and backend, implement secure APIs, and help modernise our FX ecosystem with cloud-native deployments on Azure using Docker, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and building enterprise web applications with modern frontend and backend stacks.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and secure coding practices.
• Experience with cloud, DevOps, and CI/CD in Azure environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain modern web applications.
• Build responsive UIs using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, React or Angular.
• Develop scalable backend services and microservices with Java and/or TypeScript (Node.js).
• Design, build, and maintain REST APIs for integration.
• Ensure security, scalability, and enterprise development standards.
• Develop integrations between FX Platform and enterprise systems via APIs and messaging.
• Deploy cloud-native apps on Microsoft Azure with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and source control using GitLab.

Key Responsibilities

Full Stack Application Development

• Design, develop, test, and maintain modern web applicationsusing contemporary frontend and backend technologies.
• Build highly responsive and user-friendly interfaces usingHTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks such as React.
• Develop scalable backend services and microservices using Javaand/or TypeScript (Node.js).
• Design, build, and maintain REST APIs to support applicationfunctionality and system integration.
• Ensure applications are secure, scalable, maintainable, andaligned with enterprise development standards.

System Integration & Data Services

• Develop and maintain integrations between the FX Platform andenterprise systems through APIs, messaging services, and data services.
• Implement event-driven integrations using messagingtechnologies such as RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or similar platforms.
• Support data exchange, synchronisation, and workflowintegration across multiple applications and business domains.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cross-system integration issues,ensuring reliable and efficient operations.
• Work with shared platform services such as authentication,notifications, workflow, scheduling, and common APIs.

Cloud Engineering & DevOps

• Deploy and maintain cloud-native applications on MicrosoftAzure.
• Support containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Work with Azure services including Azure Kubernetes Service(AKS), API Management (APIM), Application Gateway, and Azure Key Vault.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines to automate build, testing,deployment, and release processes.
• Maintain source code repositories and development workflowsusing GitLab.

Security & Reliability

• Implement secure coding practices and enterprise securitycontrols.
• Manage security configurations including TLS certificates,secrets management, and authentication mechanisms.
• Monitor application performance, reliability, and operationalhealth.
• Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, andcontinuous improvement activities.

Product Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with product managers, service designers,technical leads, and business stakeholders to understand businessworkflows and user needs.
• Participate in discovery, solution design, prototyping, andimplementation activities.
• Translate business requirements into well-designed technicalsolutions.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies, technical reviews, and releaseplanning activities.
• Support application modernisation and migration initiativeswithin the FX ecosystem.
• Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate AI-poweredcapabilities into business applications where required.

Required Qualifications

Frontend Development

• Strong experience with:HTML5CSS3JavaScript / TypeScriptReact or Angular

Backend Development

• Experience developing enterprise applications using:JavaTypeScript (Node.js)REST API developmentMicroservices architecture

Integration & Data

• Experience integrating applications using APIs and messagingtechnologies.Knowledge of event-driven architectures.Experience with RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, Kafka, orequivalent platforms.Familiarity with database management and data integrationconcepts.

Cloud & DevOps

• Experience with:Microsoft AzureKubernetesDockerCI/CD pipelines, GitLab

Security

• Understanding of:Secure software development practicesTLS and certificate managementIdentity and access management conceptsSecrets management (e.g. Azure Key Vault)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing applications within large enterprise orgovernment environments.Experience with workflow-based systems, case managementsystems, or operational business applications.
• Experience supporting application migration, modernisation, ordigital transformation initiatives.
• Exposure to service design, user research, or product-leddevelopment practices.
