Job summary

Airwallex (Singapore) PTE. LTD. is seeking an engineer to help build platforms and integrations that connect Airwallex with the software our customers rely on. You will work across ecosystem products, developer infrastructure and partner integrations to simplify financial operations.

You’ll thrive by owning the roadmap, designing secure APIs, and improving developer tooling while collaborating with backend, product, design and GTM teams in a fast-paced Singapore office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience building internet applications, large financial systems or e-commerce platforms.
• Strong programming or scripting skills in a language such as Java, Kotlin, C++, Python or a similar language.
• Direct experience building or maintaining a public-facing developer platform, app marketplace or extension framework.
• Experience designing and building APIs and integrations with external financial institutions or third-party platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve platforms and integrations across accounting, HR, ERP, marketplace, payment and open-banking systems.
• Build secure, reliable APIs, SDKs, webhooks and UI-extension patterns that enable third-party developers and partners to build on Airwallex.
• Shape the technical roadmap for the App Marketplace and Extension Framework, contributing to architectural decisions, coding standards, observability patterns and security practices.
• Improve the developer experience through clear documentation, sandboxes and tooling, while partnering with backend, product, design and go-to-market teams.

How you'll make impact

You'll help build the platforms and integrations that connect Airwallex with the software our customers already rely on. You'll work across ecosystem products, developer infrastructure and partner integrations to make financial operations simpler and more connected.

• Design and evolve platforms and integrations across accounting, HR, ERP, marketplace, payment and open-banking systems.

You'll work from our Singapore office five days a week.

What we're looking for

Essentials

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.

• 2+ years of experience developing internet applications, large financial systems or e-commerce platforms.

• Experience developing scalable, reliable systems and working effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred

• Deep expertise in Domain-Driven Design and applying it to complex business logic and microservice boundaries.

• Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes and advanced observability tools.

• Experience integrating AI or large language models to automate integration workflows or improve developer tooling.

The Ecosystem & Integration Platform team is a cross-functional group of engineers and product partners building the platforms and integrations that connect Airwallex with the software our customers already rely on. We own strategic accounting, marketplace, payment plugins, and open-banking integrations, plus the infrastructure behind our public APIs that let third-party partners build on top of Airwallex. You'll work closely with backend, product, design, and go-to-market teams to ship secure, reliable experiences.
