Mesh Bio is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead a skilled engineering team in delivering scalable healthtech solutions from a startup hub in Singapore. You will translate product needs into robust technical plans, mentor teammates, and collaborate with product, design, and commercial teams.

You will drive agile delivery, champion code quality, CI/CD, security, and data privacy, while shaping engineering practices in a fast-growing environment focused on chronic disease care.

Qualifications

• 5 years of software engineering experience
• 2–3 years in a team leadership or management role
• Strong full-stack development knowledge and modern frameworks
• Proven experience leading engineering teams in agile environments

Our platform leverages predictive models to improve patient outcomes, helping healthcare providers offer more personalized, data-driven care. We are looking for an experienced professional to lead the deployment of our cutting-edge software solutions to healthcare providers.

The Software Development Manager at Mesh Bio, will lead a team of engineers to design, develop, and deliver high-quality, scalable healthtech solutions. The "Manager" will work closely with product managers, designers, quality assurance, and commercial teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions that align with the company’s strategic goals.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers to ensure timely and successful delivery of product features and updates.
• Oversee the acquisition and development of software systems.
• Monitor the results and quality of the different software solutions and projects implemented.
• Oversee the development of Proof-of-Concept/ solutions and provide technical expertise on the development of software and platform features, ensuring that appropriate security and risk factors are considered.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, commercial, and customer success teams to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
• Translate product and user requirements into clear technical specifications, sprint plans, and development tasks.
• Oversee the planning, design, implementation, and deployment of software projects using agile methodologies.
• Promote best practices in software development, including code quality, testing, documentation, CI/CD, and version control.
• Identify and resolve technical risks or challenges that could impact delivery timelines or product performance.
• Facilitate technical discussions, architectural planning, and decisions to support scalable and secure product development.
• Support ongoing performance reviews, skills development, and career progression of the engineering team.
• Ensure the implementation of data privacy, security standards (e.g., ISO27001, HIPAA), and compliance requirements.
• Stay up to date with new technologies and drive continuous improvement in engineering practices.
• Any Ad Hoc work related tasks as assigned by immediate superior.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM discipline.
• 5 years of experience in software engineering with at least 2–3 years in a team leadership or management role.
• Strong technical background in full-stack software development and familiarity with modern development frameworks.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams in agile environments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in healthtech or regulated industries is a plus.
• Self-driven, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic startup environment.
